Re-marking of vehicles

On January 1, 2020, the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 12, 2019 No. 1653 "on approval of requirements for additional vehicle marking, the procedure for its application and application"came into force.

In this regard, being the official organization-manufacturer of vehicles, and having all the authority to carry out additional marking, LLC PC "Russian truck" opened the opportunity to solve the problem of restoring the VIN number to many car owners.

When do I need additional labeling?

Additional marking is applied in cases established by federal law.:

• mechanical damage due to accident;
• unreadability of the VIN number due to corrosion;
• repair of the body, which entailed the change of the part with the installed number;
• illegal change of factory marking as a result of car theft or in order to evade responsibility for the crime committed;
• intentional, unintentional mechanical damage.

The regulations on which the procedure will be conducted, as well as requirements for the organization of the event, have been developed.

All organizations accredited and registered in the Register of bodies of the members of the Eurasian Union (in its Russian part)are authorized to re-mark: vehicle manufacturers, laboratories, certification bodies.

How does recovery work?

The algorithm for restoring the VIN number of the vehicle is simple, and consists of several steps:

• Appeal to the traffic police for obtaining directions and sealing the vehicle.
• After pre-appointment, delivery of the car and filling out the application.
• Employees of the organization check the documentation and the presence of seals.
• Determination and preparation of re-marking sites.
• A special marker is being restored.
• Issuance of a certificate, calculation.

In addition to the restored elements of the license plate, the symbol indicates the organization that carried out the marking.

How much does it cost?

Despite the considerable price, motorists are pleased with the newly opened and long-awaited opportunity to solve the problem of poor readability of markings during operation or when making transactions.
